Moving Around
To move the map press and hold the left mouse button on top of the map to drag it in the desired direction. You can zoom in or out using your mouse center scroll wheel, or alternatively using the zoom in/zoom out
buttons in the lower left corner of the map. Double-clicking the left mouse button will zoom into the map one step.
Search
To search for an address enter it into the 'Address' search box in the upper right corner of the map. Press the enter key to begin your search. If an address is found in the database a list will be presented. Click the 'Zoom'
link next to the address of interest to show the address.
Finding District Information
When the address point is displayed an information dialog on the right-hand side of the map will open displaying the various districts for this address. From this information dialog you can
zoom to each district by clicking the 'Zoom To' links in the dialog. Clicking these will automatically change the visible district layer in the map to the selected district. To show the polling place for the
selected address, click the 'Route' link next to the 'Polling Place' in the information dialog. This will display a route from the address to the polling place location and also show turn-by-turn directions
on the 'Directions' tab in the information dialog.
You can also click on the map to automatically find the address at the location of the click. This will display an approximated address for the location as well as display
the districts that the clicked point is within.
Additional Layers
You can change the layers shown in the map by
opening the 'Layers' dialog. From here you can toggle the various district layers as well as overlay Polling Places, Roads, Address Points,
and Address Labels. You can view the map legend by clicking the 'Legend' tab. You can choose from an array of basemaps in the 'Basemaps' tab. You can also bookmark your location in the 'Bookmarks' tab.
Printing
You can create a 8½ x 11 PDF (either portrait or landscape) of the map view by clicking the print icon in the upper right corner of the map. Choose your print options in the displayed dialog and click 'Print'...once the
printing process completes you will see a link to open the new PDF.
