New 2024 Imagery Basemap From Nearmap!
We will be integrating new imagery for the northern, western and eastern parts of the county over the next three years. The current imagery is for the Missoula and Lolo/Florence areas.
- Updated to most recent ArcGIS JSAPI - 4.31.
- Filter now available on the layer list to easily search for layers.

Changed default aerial basemap to the ESRI 'Current' version. This basemap is a diminished quality compared to the previous 'Clarity' basemap but is
much more current. The older 'Clarity' basemap imagery dates are roughly 2012-13. The 'Clarity' basemap is still an option in the basemap selector.

Welcome to the newest version of the Missoula County Property Information System! See below for a quick overview of new updates and functionality. Also, please use the help manual under the 'Help' tab for more
information on how to best use this system.
- Using ArcGIS for Javascript 4.18 API
- Added 'Themes' selector to automatically add and adjust layers and basemaps in the view.
- Added ability to log into ArcGIS Online account and list compatible layers (mapservices, vector tile layers, feature layers) and drag-drop into the map
- Added Draw/Sketch widget
- Added ability to add items from ArcGIS Online or Portal via item id
- Using new Vector Tile Layers for the 3 main base layers (Addresses, Roads, and Parcels)
- New layer list widget for manipulation of map layers
- Layers are re-orderable in the layer list widget...just drag the layers up or down
- Additional/custom layers under the 'Services' tab will now be added to the main Layer List Table of Contents
- Map has the ability to be rotated 360 degrees - (hold right mouse button and drag), use the compass widget in the lower left to re-orient

Imagery Update
We have reconfigured/reorganized the available basemaps on this site. The default Aerial Imagery is a service titled 'Imagery (Clarity)' that uses the older/legacy aerial
imagery hosted by ESRI. While this data is not the most recent-it appears to be more accurate and detailed than the current version. We are also providing the latest
imagery service in our basemap gallery titled 'World Imagery' for your reference. We will continue to monitor the update cycle for the newest imagery and hopefully be
able to provide the best imagery available.

IMPORTANT!
ESRI has updated the aerial imagery basemap to a newer vintage (2015-16) in parts of the county. When using this imagery, there appears to be a shift from the previous aerial imagery.
This shift will be very noticeable when overlying other datasets on top of the imagery at smaller scales.
We are investigating this issue.

Smart911 is a free service that Missoula County provides to residents; it has proven to be lifesaving all across the country.
With Smart911, citizens can create a secure Safety Profile that includes any details they may want 9-1-1 to have during an emergency;
such as medical history, emergency contacts, household information or the number of children and pets in the home, etc. It is completely
voluntary and citizens interested in signing up can provide as much or as little information as they like. To better understand how
